Crispy on the outside, soft and custardy on the inside, Torrejas are a popular Spanish and Latin American dessert, similar to French toast. Bread slices are soaked in a mixture of milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon, and then fried. We used our Vila Velha® cooking oil and high-quality sugar sourced by LDC!

Tip: Torrejas are best served warm with a drizzle of syrup or honey, and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.
