Favignana island, Italy. One day tour. Our experience.

Visiting Favignana island became a part of our vacation on Sicily island. We got there by ferry, and we took our car. But the island isn’t a good place to travel by car. Most roads aren't asphalt roads, and they are pretty narrow. So we were a bit upset.

Our day tour on Favignana island included the Bue Marino, the Cala Grande Beach, Castello di Santa Caterina, the city centre.

First, we visited the Bue Marino beach. And we didn’t like it much. The color of the water was amazing but the place was crowded and the way to the beach wasn’t easy. We are not lovers of climbing.

We found the only one place where we could chill with some service, it was on the Cala Grande Beach. Two sunbeds and an umbrella was 18 euro. It was crowded there, and the prices were pretty high. We even paid for the restroom. The water on the beach was cold.

After, we decided to visit Castello di Santa Caterina, Favignana. It wasn’t successful either. The way up is only possible by walking. To walk 1.2 km under the sun we didn’t want to.

At the end of our trip, we ate some Sicilian desserts in the city center.

So, our tour experience on Favignana island wasn’t very good. Plus the price for the ferry for both ways was 110 euro. Altogether it wasn't worth it. We probably wouldn’t come back here anymore.
