EICR Before a board change? (10)

There are a million reasons why it's good practice to carry out an EICR before changing or upgrading a consumer unit. I can't really think of any reasons why you would change a board without doing any prior testing? Faults will be highlighted and can be rectified before hand. This installation had a bad fault to earth on the socket circuits but because of the type of fusebox (no RCD) there was nothing to trip. These older fusebox arrangements are not sensitive enough to pick up and then disconnect the supply In the event of earth leakage.
Even the RCDs we've been using for years now are quickly becoming not good enough to stop a certain type of earth leakage. Mainly in the Electrical equipment we're all using in our homes.

AS USUAL GUYS THIS VIDEO IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT TO BE TAKEN AS ANY KIND OF TRAINING OR EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATION. AT ALL TIMES I AM IN FULL CONTROL OF THE INSTALLATION AND THERE IS NEVER ANY RISK TO PERSONS OR EQUIPMENT. ELECTRICITY SHOULD BE GIVEN THE FULL RESPECT IT DESERVES.
