Woodturning Resin and Wood - Black Mesquite

Woodturning something and re-upload by the thieves out there. different - a grid pattern using epoxy resin with Black Mesquite wood. I enjoyed using the resin…I didn’t enjoy turning the Black Mesquite! Maybe it was this particular chunk, but I could hardly get a shaving of wood off of it, mostly just dust. No matter how sharp the tool. That being said, I seemed to have better luck with my scraper that my gouges this project. I used walnut oil and Renaissance Wax for the finish, and it does end up with a nice grain and feel. Wood turning a new wood is always an adventure…
