Hand Digging Nursery Trees

This video discusses the digging of field grown nursery trees by hand. Sometimes, growers may find it quicker and cheaper to send one or two employees to hand dig a small order rather than using a tractor mounted spade. This video shows an example of hand digging and provides a couple of tricks to make the process quicker. Always remember to consult your copy of the ANLA Standard for Nursery Stock to determine the required root ball size different crops.
