Coming Back to Earth – From SpaceX to Social Impact | Nick Callegari | TEDxYale

Yale graduate student Nick Callegari reflects on his journey of self-discovery through a connecting theme in his life – walls – and how he ultimately decided to leave SpaceX to pursue social impact at Yale and beyond. Nick Callegari is an MBA student at the Yale School of Management. He holds a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. Prior to pursuing an MBA, Nick worked as a structures engineer for SpaceX's Dragon spaceflight program, helping design critical primary and interior structures for the Dragon spacecraft. Nick is currently working on a social venture, Impact3D, that aims to 3D print sustainable housing for those experiencing houselessness. As a first-generation, low-income college student from Deltona, FL, Nick hopes to use his fortunate opportunities to help others.
