Becoming America's First Black President
Chicago politics is famous for the saying, "We don't want nobody, nobody sent," meaning you can't be part of the political game unless someone who's already in it offers you their backing. It's a testament to Barack Obama's incredible drive and perseverance to have become 44th president based in Chicago, a city where he knew no one when he moved there to become a community organizer. David J. Garrow, author of "The Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama," joins The Agenda to discuss Obama's rise to the presidency.
