新年快乐！The delicious dishes we eat in China during the Spring Festival!

Chinese New Year Is coming and I went out to explore and try some delicious dishes typical of Guangdong Province for the Spring Festival:

吉祥如意白切鸡:
This is a special dish in Guangdong Province，the dish is prepared in a very simple way but is delicious. In Chinese New Year, the chicken has played an important role because of its meaning: good luck , the pronunciation in Chinese is jí 吉 which means: auspiciousness，吉祥如意 jí xiáng rú yì in Chinese means: I wish you good luck and happiness

年年有鱼:
Fish symbolizes stability, happiness and prosperity in China. People use the fish symbol to express their good wishes for others. Fish in Chinese pronunciation is 余 yú that sounds the same as the word 余 that means "more or rich", In Chinese 年年有余 means "may you always get more than you wish for"

长长久久茂名捞粉:
This dish is typical from Maoming city, people eat this in the morning and in new year’s dinner this dish might be included, these rice noodles are long and thick, In chinese is 长长久久 cháng cháng jiǔ jiǔ means is "be healthy and live longer"

金钱肉与生菜:
From the name we can know this dish meaning is about money, the literal translation would be 金钱肉 (jīn qián ròu) will be money pork, Fried pork the color like gold and red same like the money ,in china , people like red things , its called 红红火火 meaning: wishing the new year will be flourishing, the pronunciation for the vegetable (romaine lettuce) is 生财 shēng cái (make or earn money) , meaning: I wish you can make more money.
