Purge plays Warlock

Warlock is best known for his teamfight ultimate with Fatal Bonds, but in terms of laning he's an excellent lane stabilizer because he can power heal himself or allied heroes to ensure they don't die in lane and get lots of farm.

This doesn't mean Warlock is a poor fighter though. Shadow Word can be used to harass or heal yourself and allies, and with Warlock's strong animation and right click you can certainly fight other supports to try and outlane your opponents.

When transitioning from the laning stage, start skilling your abilies based on what you require. I got lots of Upheaval this game because it makes for fun teamfights where enemies can't really disengage despite wanting to, so I like 2-3 points of this by the time I'm level 12 or so.
