The Biotech market has not been fairing well recently. This is mainly due to the fact that they are the paragon of a “we don’t make money today” kind of company. While these companies develop potentially life-changing drugs and technology, it is all about the monetary value of the products in the future.

Companies that are 100% reliant on future cash flows, like biotech stocks, were hit especially hard in the market selloff.

But we are still seeing great buying opportunities from companies with good technical signs and fundamentals in the biotech sector.

About 90 biotech stocks are trading below there cash positions. This simply means that they are trading below the amount of cash they have on their balance sheet.

This is an all-time high for the sector, which historically peak at 20 stocks in 2009. But the bigger picture shows an uptrend that started in summer of 2015 and will continue to rise over time.

The bird’s eye view is that the sector is technically oversold but fundamentally undervalued, which creates some great buying opportunities right now.
