Agriculture is the #1 contributor to Ohio's economy and produces 1 in 8 jobs! HALF of Ohio Farms have livestock. Take your class on an up-close look at a cow and calf farm.

This LIVE virtual field trip will let you:

- See how beef farmers care for their cattle, their land and the environment.

- Learn how beef farmers produce safe and nutritious beef for their community and a wider market.

- Ask questions to be answered live by Ohio beef farmer Keith Kauffman.

This trip is available to watch two ways so that students can participate whether they are in the classroom or learning remotely at home.

Ke-Car Farms is operated by Keith and Carma Jo Kauffman. Both grew up in Miami County, then moved to Knox county in 1988. Their owned land consists of 107 acres, with another 45 acres rented, all of which are used for hay and pasture. Ke-Car Farms’ total number of cows, calves, heifers and bulls can total 75 head at times.
