Experiment with far shadows in Godot + Github link

An experiment to display very far shadow in large scene in Godot.

The goal is to render shadows much further than what max shadow distance is able to, while keeping shadows near player sharp.
It works with two scenes, one displaying distant objects (including mesh, shadows and lights) and one for nearby objects.
I used subviewports to display the cameras of both worlds, which are synchronized using a script that moves them accordingly.
The world displaying bigger objects is scaled down, 1m in the player scene = 0.01m in larger skybox scene.

Inspired by Source engine's skybox.
