A More Elegant Rubber Half Sole Solution

In this video I show how I custom trimmed and applied K Brand 1.2m thick rubber half soles to my Kilgour, French, & Stanbury English bench made Oxfords that I changed the color on in a previous video. Since I walk outside a bit, and here in the Midwest United States it's wet or snowy a good portion of the year, I apply rubber half soles to most of my shoes. I felt that the Goodyear Rubber protective half soles I usually apply were not the right fit for these shoes, as I felt they would take away too much from the aesthetics of the soles, so I tried a different approach.

The half soles I purchased were from eBay seller “ijustcalledtosayiloveypu” (that is not a joke) item #200877432401
“Unisex 1 Pair Rubber Protective Half Soles for DIY Repairs Shoe Repair Supplies”. They were $7.65. The item appears to be discontinued, but there are many other similar products.
