Is it time for a new kind of political party in Ireland?

This is a proposal for discussion only.

Democratic Alliance Ireland (DAI) is an idea for a broad-centre political movement that represents the values of the majority—particularly the squeezed middle and working population—through practical, fair, and accountable governance.

Built on three core principles:
Fairness. Accountability. Transparency.

The concept includes:

Evidence-based, common-sense policy
Respect for the Constitution of Ireland and the rights it protects
Freedom of conscience for representatives on certain ethical or constitutional issues
Reduced reliance on strict party discipline where appropriate
A commitment to regular review and renewal to ensure the party lives up to its principles

This is not a finished political programme.
It is an open proposal for reflection and discussion.
