What If Edge NEVER Retired from WWE in 2011?

Edge quickly became one of the fastest rising superstars in WWE after he started dating Lita in 2005. Vince McMahon used the real life beef between him and Matt Hardy to create one of the hottest feuds at the time. This rivalry made Edge one of the most hated men in all of wrestling and he began to embrace this villain role. He actually became great with this new character of being a douchebag.

Edge then started great feuds with superstars such as John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Undertaker and Batista. Edge clearly played a huge role during the Ruthless Aggression Era. This is why Edge was the World Heavyweight Champion on SmackDown as the top guy on that brand. Vince McMahon believed and trusted him to become the main focus of the show.

However, injuries with his neck started to affect his in-ring career. In fact, there is a video of him spearing Brodus Clay that forced him to retire. He would finish his feud with Del Rio and defeat him at WrestleMania 27 and relinquish the championship. Shortly after, he made his announcement about retiring and left the wrestling fans feeling empty without the rated R superstar.

With the recent rumors of Edge possibly coming back to the WWE to wrestle another match (which he should not risk a serious injury), I think it would be fun to talk about him in this video. Let’s rewrite the ending of his career and look at a timeline where Edge never sustains that neck injury that forced him to hang up the boots. This is what would have happened if Edge never retired in 2011.
