On our West African expedition, we’ve just crossed our very first international border—leaving South Africa behind and entering Namibia, a land famed for its surreal, otherworldly landscapes.
Approaching from the south, our journey led us to a true natural wonder—Fish River Canyon. Often called Africa’s answer to the Grand Canyon, it stretches over 100 miles in length, plunges nearly 2,000 feet deep, and spans more than 17 miles wide at its broadest point.
It was a breathtaking introduction to Namibia—and this is how it all unfolded…
