Sonic the Hedgehog balloon busted at 1993 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Here is rare Channel 7 Eyewitness News footage from the 1993 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which featured the debut of the Sonic the Hedgehog balloon. The wind that day challenged balloon wranglers, and Sonic crashed into a lamppost, and as he deflated, part of the lamp fell on two spectators, injuring them.
