A lot of fans asked me to look for Vietnamese people while I was in America, and I made sure to do just that. Not only do I love the people, food, and culture of Vietnam, but I also love the genuine surprise and joy that comes over the Vietnamese people that I meet in other countries. Vietnamese is a difficult and rare (for foreigners) language, so when a non-Vietnamese person can carry on a basic conversation, Vietnamese tend to show interest. I traveled from pagodas, to restaurants, and even nail salons to find Vietnamese living abroad in America. Every Vietnamese person featured in this video was meeting me for the 1st time. I can not express enough gratitude for the kindness and welcoming nature of my Vietnamese family in Vietnam, as well as abroad. Becoming a part of this culture has truly changed my life forever, and I hope to spread smiles and goodwill to Vietnamese across the globe in the future.
