Kampi Farmagas, Cyprus, 1973

This is old cine footage that I converted to DVD. There is hours of it but I had to snip this for Facebook and Twitter for my family during lockdown. I am the little boy in the blue shirt. It's my family's village in Cyprus. I think its 1973, and its Easter Sunday (I think). My mother is mostly behind the camera on this. Lots of relatives in there... I should add for non Cypriots the game at the end is called "Ziziros" and is played at Easter and has its roots in Byzantine culture. The man failing to clear the leapfrog is my grandfather (my Papou) who was born in 1917 and fell ill during the lockdown. My father, who is one of the men playing Ziziros - with the shirt and tie - has just jumped through all the hoops to get a flight out to say goodbye to him. My grandmother's brother is the middle of that Ziziros at the end. The other man is my Uncle Nick.
