Sea King HAR.3 | Old Warden 2021

Having not had an RAF Search & Rescue Sea King in the airshow display circuit since 2015, Historic Helicopters' HAR3 variant of the type was a very welcome item to the flying list at the Shuttleworth Collection's Family Air Show for 2021.
Historic Helicopters, based down in Somerset, have been working on and restoring many ex UK military helicopters for a number of years now. This was the Sea King HAR3's first public display in civilian hands since it was retired from RAF service. Other types include the Westland Whirlwind, Westland Wessex (both seen in older videos on my channel), and more recently, the Sea King HC4 which also made its public civilian display debut at Old Warden last month.

0:00 - Start up prior to display
1:32 - Taxi & takeoff
3:03 - Display
7:30 - Landing & parking
8:43 - Shutdown
Departing to return home
9:36 - Pre-flight checks
11:14 - Start up
11:44 - Taxi
13:31 - Takeoff
