New mix from the original multitracks. I have always had a big soft spot for this song. It was the third single from his last solo album for Motown in 1975 just before leaving for CBS/Epic. Despite several tv appearances, it wasn’t a big hit in the the US. However, it went to #1 in the UK and a few other European countries. It is sung with the feeling and emotion of someone much older than his 17 years at the time. This mix brings out the backing vocals and more intricate details of the backing arrangement.
