Enfermeras en primera línea | #OxígenoParaLaIndia

⚕️ Son valientes, fuertes e imprescindibles. Están siempre al lado de las personas más vulnerables. Son enfermeras en la India.

La Xunta de Galicia y el Gobierno de Navarra han colaborado en la financiación del proyecto "Protección del derecho de las comunidades vulnerables del distrito de Anantapur (India) a una atención sanitaria de calidad, frente a la COVID-19 u otras emergencias sanitarias” durante el año 2021 y 2022. El objetivo de esta actuación es facilitar el acceso al derecho a la salud para las personas más vulnerables, incluso en un contexto marcado por la pandemia COVID-19. Para ello por un lado se trabaja manteniendo los servicios esenciales de atención primaria y especializada que presta el Hospital de Kalyandurg (salud sexual y reproductiva, salud pediátrica, detección de cáncer y tratamiento de la diabetes) al tiempo que se asegura la atención clínica adecuada a pacientes covid.

Para ello se está trabajando en el fortalecimiento de este hospital a nivel de infraestructuras, materiales y equipamientos, pero también en la formación de los recursos humanos para asegurar una atención de calidad a las personas que precisen atención sanitaria. En este sentido es especialmente relevante el cuidado al personal sanitario como es el caso de las enfermeras del Hospital quienes están sufriendo especialmente el impacto de la pandemia, y es por esta razón por la que el proyecto quiere mejorar el entorno de su trabajo diario al mismo tiempo que visibilizar su papel en la lucha contra la enfermedad del coronavirus.

Xunta de Galicia and Gobierno de Navarra have contributed to the financing of the project "Protection the right to quality health care of vulnerable communities in the district of Anantapur (India), during COVID-19 or other health emergencies" , year 2021 and 2022. The objective of this project has been to facilitate access to the right to health for the most vulnerable people, even in a context marked by the COVID-19 pandemic. To this issue, on one hand, the project works by maintaining the essential primary and specialized care services provided by the Kalyandurg Hospital (sexual and reproductive health, pediatric health, cancer detection and diabetes treatment) while ensuring adequate clinical care for covid patients.

Many activities are being done to strengthen this hospital in terms of infrastructure, materials and equipment, but also in the training of human resources to ensure quality care for people who require health care. In this sense, care for health personnel is especially relevant, as is the case of the nurses at the Hospital who are especially suffering from the impact of the pandemic, and it is for this reason that the project wants to improve the environment of their daily work by time to make its role visible in the fight against the coronavirus disease.
