Learn how to make the ultimate shrimp cocktail at home—perfectly poached shrimp and a zesty sauce in minutes. So much fresher (and cheaper) than the store-bought platter.
Poaching Liquid
Ingredients:

tap water

1/2 a lemon, squeezed and dropped in water
fresh herbs (cilantro, thyme or oregano)
salt & pepper

Method:
Drop it all into the water and bring to a boil, cook shrimp until opaque and immediately drop into ice bath and chill.

Cocktail Sauce
Ingredients:

2 cups cocktail sauce
1 cup ketchup
2 TBSP fresh lemon juice
2 TBSP fresh horseradish
1/4 sambal (red chili sauce)
2 TBSP sriracha
2 TBSP worcestershire sauce
kosher salt & ground black pepper

Method:
Whisk everything together and spice it up as you like it and GO.
