Abusive Relationships: Grieving Every Part (2018)
When our abusers are people who we had some type of relationship with - whether they were family members, friends, or romantic partners - I believe that it is important to grieve not only the damage and pain that was caused by the abuse but also the loss of a relationship and what it should have been. Here is what I mean.
PLEASE understand I am not for one single second suggesting that abusive relationships should small light be seen as positive. They aren't. It is vital to leave and to stay away from those relationships. In this video, I am simply noting the positives of grieving each piece of our abuse, including the "good" memories, as confusing as that can be.
