Jade Carey (a Beautiful American Gymnast)

Jade Ashtyn Carey is an American artistic gymnast who represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She is most recognized for her outstanding performances on the vault and floor exercise. She won the gold medal in floor exercise at the 2020 Olympics and has also achieved success as a two-time World medalist (silver in 2017, bronze in 2022), the 2018 Pan American Champion, and a four-time American national silver medalist (2017-2019, 2022).
On vault she is the 2022 World champion, a two-time World silver medalist (2017, 2019), the 2018 Pan American champion, and a two-time American national champion (2017, 2022). She was a member of the teams that won gold at the 2019 World Championships, the 2022 World Championships, and the 2018 Pan American Championships. With a total of eight Olympic and World Championship medals, Carey is the sixth most decorated U.S. female gymnast of all time.

Biography
Jade Carey is the daughter of Danielle Greenberg and Brian Carey. Her parents are gymnastics coaches. Her father Brian is also Jade's coach.
Her sister Taeva Greenberg is a level 10 gymnast competing at club level.
Jade Carey started gymnastics in 2001. She always played around on the gym equipment since her parents owned a gym, so it was natural for her to enroll in gymnastics classes.
Carey began competing at the elite level in 2017 when she was 17 years old.
Jade Carey is a student-athlete at Oregon State University in Corvallis.
She is studying kinesiology. Her favorite school subjects are sports medicine, and math.
Many gymnasts who compete in both elite and NCAA gymnastics chose to pause their schooling for the Olympics, but Carey opted to continue attending Oregon State University. Carey finished her junior season by placing second overall at the 2024 NCAA Championships. She is now remaining on campus to continue training for the Paris competitions.
Her most memorable sporting achievement was winning a gold medal on floor at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Jade's father Brian visited her often in college to help her get ready for her elite competitions after the Tokyo Olympics.
He was eventually hired as an assistant coach at Oregon State University in July 2023.
She began competing for Oregon State University in the United States of America in early 2022. She was named the 2022 USA Gymnastics Athlete of the Year. The award is voted on by coaches and athletes that are a part of USA Gymnastics.
Her ambition is to win a medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
