Laser Paint Engraving Tutorial

This is my process when doing laser engravings that have color added to them with acrylic paints.

I used the pen tool in LightBurn to draw that red line around the outside of the design manually, with my regular mouse.
Its a slow tedious process if you want to make it really accurate.
You can also just do the initial engraving with the design set to line or cut, instead of fill, that way it will automatically engrave just the outline of all the objects in your design.
That gives you your outline, like a coloring book, for you to paint within the lines, then engrave it again a second time with it set to fill, so it fully engraves the design.
But, that can be alot of overkill if you only need just a certain part of the design outlined, like the example here where all I needed was the very outside part of the Falcon.
For example, the dragon,,, I engraved the entire design with just the line/cut setting, painted it, then did a second fill engraving.
