I show the process of making vinegaroon and using it to dye leather grey and then add a patina. Paint and aging tutorial on how to make movie props and breakdown leather costumes for cosplay. This technique is great for natural dying of leather and is non toxic. Using white vinegar, steel wool and baking soda the dying/aging process can be applied easily to a leather project. I coat the final piece with matte clear acrylic paint to seal the finished leather item. This technique using vinegroon can also be used to weather wood or create grey black stains on wooden surfaces
