Crossing into USA on America's ONLY Unguarded Border Road

So I decided to cross into the USA and enjoy the last unguarded American border crossing road before it is closed or worse! Just south of Hope, British Columbia, Canada is a road down the Skagit River Road Valley that leads to Ross Lake, Washington.
While there are random ATF and US Border checks, 99% of the time there is absolutely no control over the road that leads into the USA from Canada. There is just a sign (while I show in the video) and the clear cut areas of the trees on the 49th parallel.

This is the ONLY unguarded American border road left. There is another crossing in Minnesota near Lake of the Woods that has a telephone reporting system and cameras. This border crossing has nothing.

While you would have to walk down a hiking trail 30-35 miles to hook up with Stare Route 20 in Washington, it has obviously become the new smuggling route into and out of Canada for the hearty and rugged.

I doubt it will remain unguarded. Or it will be closed. Which is a shame as Ross Lake is a wilderness retreat of rare proportions. There are no services there. No cell phone service, no TV service, no stores, no nothing. Just people who want to enjoy the great outdoors until the US Border Patrol closes it....
