Built from composite materials, with carbon fiber reinforcements in the superstructure, Riva 88’ Folgore is entirely focused on efficiency. Said to be part of the new-generation Riva tradition, she sports an intriguing shark-grey colored hull with black detailing. Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design and the Ferretti engineering team have designed standout features such as dark hull windows, an innovative hull-deck coupling system, a glass-top roof and windscreen, and carbon fiber elements accented by materials such as marble, crystal glass and stainless steel.

Her redesigned stern concept means that guests can open the rear door to sit parallel to the waterline to create a six-square-meter beach club that can be submerged to help launch and recover the tender. For more fun outdoors, guests can gather around one of many of the large dining areas and lounging spaces towards the bow that can be reconfigured thanks to an up-down mechanism.

Through the glass door in the cockpit, guests are welcomed into the main-deck saloon, dining, and helm station areas. The decor is a selection of materials such as wood, leather and steel, including polished rosewood and white parquet to give a refined and classic elegance.

For accommodation, the Riva Folgore 88 offers four staterooms on the lower deck. The owner is treated to a full-beam suite in the center of the yacht. Additional guest quarters offer two double VIP cabins and one twin stateroom, all with ensuites. Mirrored surfaces dominate the cabins, with tinted mirrors and widescreen TVs alongside similar decorative materials to mimic the main deck. The galley and crew quarters are both on the lower deck for maximum privacy. A door separates the galley from the main deck, with access via a stairway, while another door on the opposite side divides it from the crew quarters.

Fitted with a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, the new yacht provides a top speed of 39 knots and a cruising speed of 33 knots. The captain is set to get to grips with her high-tech bridge system, which includes Xenta electro-hydraulic steering gear, stabilizers, DP systems and LOOP integrated dashboard with three 19-inch touchscreen displays and a maneuvering joystick.
