Nickel Plating ~ For Minimum Investment

I intended to polish the Big Brace and then shellac it like ScoutCrafter has done. After spending a bit of time on it I decided that I should try nickel plating instead. Sure enough there was a video showing how it can be done quite easily..

Note: I got all excited and ran to the store for vinegar. When I got home I rigged up the bottle and started the process. Oops! I forgot the salt. No worries it just takes longer and I left it overnight. Next batch I will try the salt. But wait. Geoffrey said it will last forever? If it doesn’t work well I will add salt. Nothing ventured. Nothing gained.
