How to make a face mask from a blue shop towel

As we’re all being asked to wear face masks when we go out in public during this COVID-19 pandemic, we challenged our Chief R&D Engineer to design a disposable mask that can be made from household items in 5 minutes or less. Supplies needed: blue shop towels (TOOLBOX or Zep brand are best), 3-1/2 inch rubber bands (1/4 in or 1/8 in wide)*, stapler, and 6” pipe cleaners (optional).
Note - For better effectiveness, shave your beard
**DISCLAIMER** - This mask is not intended for a substitute of an N-95 mask. Use of this mask is voluntary and at your own risk. Please refer to cdc.gov for guidance on the use of face coverings to “Help Slow the Spread of COVID-19”.

*Longer or thinner rubber bands may be more comfortable for long duration use (thanks to PhysicsChick27 for the suggestion!); also, you could wrap each end of a 12 inch pipe cleaner around the ear loops and place it behind your head to ease the discomfort on your ears (this hack courtesy of our Technology Director).
