Jack O'Neill's Wife ... and Their Shared Trauma (Dial the Gate)

EARLY ON IN STARGATE SG-1 the show had to deal with Jack O'Neill's baggage, left over from the 1994 Stargate feature film. In the movie Jack (played by Kurt Russell) was in a dark place following the accidental death of his young son, with a wife who seemed ready to walk away. In the SG-1 episode "COLD LAZARUS" an alien entity duplicates Richard Dean Anderson's Jack O'Neill, and returned to Jack's home on Earth in a misguided attempt to heal his deepest pain.

In this clip from "Dial the Gate" host David Read sits down with actor Harley Jane Kozak, who played Jack's wife Sarah in the episode. She talks about their shared trauma and how she approached her performance, and also reveals what she would have done differently as a parent.
