World Adventures of Gina & Dean presents: Hotel Reviews - JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa
This past September, Gina and I enjoyed an amazing long weekend in Cancun at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa. While so many properties in Cancun are "all inclusive", the JW is not. But this is definitely not a reason to reconsider a visit to this simply amazing property!
Located about half way up the "Hotel Zone", the JW is located between the Marriott (to the south) and the Hard Rock Hotel (to the north). The pool area is simply amazing and probably the main reason to visit this property. To say the least... the pool, and it's views, are amazing!
While this is a "resort" property and thus includes a "resort fee", it's likely not to be avoided in the Hotel Zone, where all of the Marriott properties are "resorts". So unless you are not a Bonvoy member, and thus much more inclined to stay at a Marriott property, then you need to factor in the $50/ day resort fee into you calculations on where to stay.
Even the basic rooms are more than acceptable. And the suites... well, you'll need to just watch the video to appreciate the suites. While I don't have any videos or photos of the spa, it is extremely impressive. Do I recommend the JW Marriott Cancun? Absolutely! If we return to Cancun, we will definitely consider the JW over the nearby Marriott or Ritz-Carlton.
