Very Rusty Antique Axe Restoration!

A friend brought me this axe to restore. This axe was found metal detecting and had been buried for a long time. Everyone that seen it in person said it couldn't be fixed. This double bit axe was probably a 3.5# originally but after rusting away and the trimming I did it went on a serious diet. I love the way the deep pitting turned out and the friend I did this project for said he will likely use it for decoration. This project required rust removal, bluing, polishing grinding and fabrication of a handle.
