Sittin' in Utah, Baby!

Although this video is not cemetery related, it is a song I wrote while exploring cemeteries in northern Utah.

Many of my subscribers know I returned to school last August to pursue a degree in Geology, with the hopes of becoming better in my ability to identify the lithologies of the stones we use as grave markers.

During this trip, I spent almost a week hiking in the Silver Island Mountains and exploring the Pilot Valley Playa. I would have stayed longer if I hadn't begun running low on food and water, needing to return to civilization. During my climbs in the Silver Island Mountains (most notably to the summitt of Graham Peak), I paid particular interest to quartz intrusions within limestone sediments. Also, the igneous compositions of Volcano Peak have been absolutely fascinating.

I hope you enjoy seeing a different side of these explorations other than simply my cemetery research.
