Liking Problematic Romance Doesn't Make You A Bad Person // 2021

After receiving comments implying negative things about me based on the type of romance I read, I decided to open up a discussion about "problematic", "toxic" & "unhealthy" themes in adult romance, touching upon kink-shaming, the importance of exploring fantasies in safe-spaces & how thinking you're morally superior to others doesn't actually mean that you have any morals.

Side Note - After filming and editing this video I realised that I forgot to mention the importance of trigger warnings. While there is no shame in enjoying taboo and "problematic" romance without needing to explain yourself, it is important we give trigger and content warnings so that those who need them know whether to avoid certain books or prepare themselves to confront triggering content. This is especially relevant when talking about dark and taboo romance as they often contain many triggering themes.
