معظم الات القهوه تحتوي على صمام امان يحمي باقي مكونات الاله في حاله ارتفاع الضغط. هذا الصمام هو في حد ذاته معرض للتلف، وفي حاله التلف تفقد اله القهوه كل الضغط الموجه لاستخلاص القهوه. وفي هذه الحاله سيقص او ينعدم ضغط الماء الموجه للاستخلاص وينتج عنه انعدام في تدفق الماء
