UK snap election: Campaigning begins ahead of July 4 vote

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his opposition rival have kicked off six weeks of election campaigning. Sunak's announcement for a snap election has been described as a gamble, with the Labour Party leading in opinion polls. Labour leader Keir Starmer is hoping to see his party return to power after 14 years.
