so this is a vid that's been in progress for about a year... the end result is maybe not as clean as it could be, but that seems like a pretty good allegory for their relationship when i think about it (lol). also i completely forgot to add an outro, so let it be known that this is for vee. :)

most people in fandom have a lot of otps, i do too, but there just truly is no other pair out there like these two. always in each other's corner. always best friends, even when they're fighting over the fact that they can't be together. always in the back of each other's mind, like an instinct. i've seen them called star-crossed lovers, which i guess is accurate, but it's actually more striking to me how close they still managed to be in spite of all their circumstances. both emotionally stunted, both heavily burdened by trauma, neither really (i'd argue) at all capable of carrying on a real relationship. they really do end up hurting most of the people close to them, but somehow they still manage to stick close to each other. they forgive each other, over and over again, easily, thoughtlessly, and that unbreakable bond is always there underneath. i could talk about them for hours, but you'll probably get most of it from watching the vid.

this video was made using final cut pro x, the song is "a hole in the earth" by daughter, and i claim no ownership of anything in this video other than my own editing work.
