Islam's Contribution to Where it Spread | Dr. Jonathan Brown

Dr. Jonathan Brown speaks about what Muslims have historically contributed in places where Islam has spread and what Islam can bring to the U.S.

Dr. Jonathan Brown is the Alwaleed bin Talal Chair of Islamic Civilization in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and he is the Director of the Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. He received his BA in History from Georgetown University in 200 and his doctorate in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago in 2006.

Dr. Brown speaks during a fundraising banquet for the Muslim Community Center - East Bay in Pleasanton, California. The event was held at the Marriott Hotel Ballroom in San Ramon, California on Sunday, March 13, 2016.
