A 'naughty, spoiled brat', is what Ria Sharma's dad thought of her as a child. 10 years later, she's mingling with Barack Obama and Bill & Melinda Gates, as the first Indian to receive the United Nation's International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Global Goals Award.

At 21, Ria founded Make Love Not Scars, an NGO for female victims of acid attacks in India. She runs the world's first rehabilitation centre for survivors, where they can recuperate from their surgeries and attend English, computer and vocational classes.
