Millikan's Oil Drop Experiment is used for determining the charge and mass of an Electron
Millikan’s Oil Drop Experiment Audiovisual displays experiment conducted by Robert Millikan, visualizes oil drop in ball form, on x ray exposure electrons released from air , clinging to droplet making it negative charge was provided with in-depth animation bringing conceptual clarity.
Note :
In the Audiovisual Millikan's oil experiment, on exposure of X rays, it has been
visualized as ionization of oil drop. But in reality on exposure of X Rays, the air inside the chamber gets ionized & there by liberates electrons. These emitted electrons get attached to the oil drop and thus makes it negatively charged.
