In this long form interview, we discuss Karen's December 2020 blog entry, "Getting run out of town" in which she describes her slow and precarious removal from Adams State University, culminating in her position being eliminated in the summer of 2015.

Karen describes in vivid detail the Sword of Damocles above her and the sunk costs beneath her as she trudged through every effort to somehow attain the professional development to continue within in a dysfunctional system that was always on the precipice of casting her out, as it almost inevitably did, in a process that felt like "getting run out of town."
