Competing narratives raise questions over durability of US-Iran deal: Analyst

The United States and Iran have offered differing interpretations of their memorandum of understanding to end the war, raising questions about the durability of their agreement. Speaking to CNA's Asia First, Kamran Bokhari, strategic forecaster and senior resident fellow at the Middle East Policy Council, says the deal remains fragile, with many key issues still to be negotiated during a 60-day follow-up period. Bokhari also discusses how Tehran is likely to portray the agreement as proof of regime survival, the role of information operations in shaping perceptions of the deal, and the challenges facing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid divergence between Washington and Israel over Iran.
