Smart blind stick using Arduino and GPS ! How to make Low cost Blind Stick project for students

Abstarct - The core of the system is an Arduino microcontroller which acts as the "brain," interfacing with various sensors to monitor the environment and the stick’s status. For obstacle detection, an IR sensor is positioned at the front to identify objects in the immediate path, triggering a buzzer and a horn switch for immediate auditory warning. A specialized water sensor is placed near the base of the stick to detect puddles or wet floors, preventing slips and falls by alerting the user through distinct beep patterns. The power system utilizes two 3.7{V Lithium-ion batteries in series, regulated to provide a stable 5V to 7.4V supply for the components. When the emergency key is pressed, the Arduino fetches the current geographical coordinates from the NEO-6M GPS module. These "Lat/Lot" values are then processed and sent via a HC-05 Bluetooth module to a custom Android application, which formats the data into a clickable Google Maps link for the caregiver. Simultaneously, an 16x2 LCD display mounted on the stick provides visual status updates and debugging information, such as "Obstacle Detected" or "Sending SMS." The integration of these components ensures that the user is not only warned of physical dangers but is also connected to a remote support system that can pinpoint their exact location within meters, making the device a holistic personal security tool.
