Kite Flying World Record Attempt - Bill Brosius flying 72 kites

Bill Brosius of Olympia, Washington, is attempting to set a new Record of one man flying stacks of dual line kites. In this attempt, he is flying 3 stacks of 24 kites, totaling 72 kites. On 7.17.2020 the winds were predicted to be 15 mph, perfect for an attempt. However, the winds on the beach stayed around the 5 mph mark, with only one little bump to 8 mph. Bill attempted late in the afternoon to get the stacks airborne, but the full flight was not possible in such low winds. He will be trying again in the near future.
