Ender 2 Pro in 2026 - Turning Back the Clock 5 Years
Before auto-calibration, lidar, and “print just works,” there was learning the hard way.
In this video, I put myself through the same difficult process that so many makers cut their teeth on — using a far more hands-on 3D printer than modern Bambu Lab machines. Manual leveling, tuning, failed prints, weird noises, and the slow, frustrating path to understanding why things go wrong.
This is a reminder of where the hobby came from, and the skills a whole generation of makers had to build through trial, error, and a lot of wasted filament. Running a printer like the Ender 2 Pro forces you to slow down, pay attention, and actually learn the machine in a way today’s plug-and-play systems often don’t require.
Whether you started with an Ender, Prusa, or something even more cursed — or you jumped straight into the modern era — this video is about appreciating the grind that shaped the community and the knowledge behind today’s “easy mode” printers.
If you’ve ever fought bed leveling at 2am… this one’s for you.
