In this video I show how I built a DC electric generator out of a lawn Mower engine and an alternator. My first build (not the one in the video) was make from parts I had laying around and it only cost me about $50 for everything. I got a bit gung-ho with the project and eventually replaced the engine with a new one as well as the alternator- money I really did not need to spend, but I got caught up in the build...
