Someone just discovered another new mechanic...
A Japanese Rocket League player named Fetelix accidentally discovered a brand new competitive mechanic just a few weeks ago. The community has dubbed it the "Lix Jump". It's a way to jump off the wall while retaining your dodge for an infinite amount of time. Something that has never been achieved before in Rocket League.

I really thought there were no more new competitive Rocket League mechanics. I was wrong. If the Lix Jump gets perfected, it will surely make it's way into RLCS given a good amount of time. I think it will be a while before it's implemented regularly in pro gameplay if it ever even gets to that point. However, I do indeed believe that the Lix Jump will be used by pro Rocket League players at some point. It's just so useful and players have already proven that it can be done in a way that is useful competitively. It's just a matter of how long it takes for these players to get it consistent. To know that for sure, only time will tell.
