In this weeks episode I'm joined by filmmaker Cyndy Fujikawa to drink some Bakers Bourbon and discuss her documentary filmmaking. Her latest film, 'Ninety Minutes Later' (currently in post-production), chronicles the career and tragic death of the late actress Vanessa Marquez. In August of 2018, what started as a wellness check for Vanessa led by local authorities resulted in her getting shot and killed by police. This documentary serves as a mean to find answers and justice for Vanessa Marquez. We also discuss an earlier documentary film by Cyndy called 'Old Man River' which does a deep dive into the history of her father, prolific character actor Jerry Fujikawa (Chinatown, The Twilight Zone, M*A*S*H, Taxi)
